ART OF THE EYE II is a collection of multi-media works of art created by professional artists who are visually impaired. ART OF THE EYE-II consists of 42 new works of art by ten of the original ART OF THE EYE-I artists.

ART OF THE EYE II was developed in 1997 by the Delta Gamma Foundation with additional support from the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation and Lions Clubs International.

Works in the collection were selected on the basis of artistic merit and the ability to express to the viewer the effects of visual impairment. The exhibits present a unique experience for you and for public awareness about the abilities and the inner vision of those who are visually impaired. We want to  encouraged you to look with new understanding upon the works of renowned artists who had visual impairments, including Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Titian.

ART of the EYE II, Mission Statement

  1. To recognize that vision exists beyond the physical capability to see.

  2. To educate and sensitize Delta Gammas and the general public regarding the
      nature of visual impairment.

  3. To demonstrate through the exhibit the talents and abilities of persons who are
      visually impaired.

  4. To increase member and public awareness of the aims of the Delta Gamma
      Foundation.
